Acceptable Recycling Materials
Aseptic Containers
Aseptic containers are sterile cardboard containers, which are used to preserve food. Common examples include:
  • Cardboard Milk Cartons
  • Cardboard Orange Juice Cartons
  • Fruit juice boxes
Glass
All colors of glass beverage and food containers:
  • Fruit juice
  • Mayonnaise
  • Spaghetti sauce jars
Remove metal lids and place separately in bin.

Metal:
All metal and "bi-metal" food and beverage containers including:
  • Aluminum tin, or steel containers
  • Soda, pet food, soup, and tuna cans (lids okay)
Plastic:
Clear, opaque or colored containers labeled 1 - 7 including:
  • Milk and orange juice jugs
  • Soft drink and water bottles
  • Detergent and shampoo containers
Paper
Standard Paper:
  • White paper
  • Colored paper
  • Computer paper
  • Envelopes
Glossy Paper:
  • Magazines
  • Catalogs
  • Phone books
Miscellaneous Paper:
  • Junk mail
  • Adhesive notes
  • Paper egg cartons

    such as pizza boxes
  • Fuel tanks
  • Garden Hoses
  • Light bulbs

Proper Container Placement And Storage
Recycling, green waste and garbage containers are collected by a semi-automated sanitation truck. The automated truck requires ample room to collect containers safely and effectively. For more information on container placement, please view our Service Information page.
