Stevens Creek Disposal & Recycling - Apartment Recycling Stevens Creek Disposal & Recycling offers collection of glass, plastic types 1-7, tin, aluminum, mixed paper, newspaper and cardboard. Service can be adjusted any time, depending on resident needs.

Our program is only $0.80 per unit per month, to be included in the monthly utility bill. Literature describing program guidelines is also distributed to all units.

To begin recycling at your complex, have your apartment manager or billing party contact our recycling coordinator by calling (408) 970-5100 or contact us on-line.

Acceptable Recycling Materials
Glass:
All glass food and beverage jars and bottles such as:
  • Fruit juice
  • Mayonnaise
  • Spaghetti sauce jars
  • Remove metal lids and place separately in bin.


Plastic:
Clear, opaque or colored containers including:
  • Milk and orange juice jugs
  • Water bottles
  • Detergent and shampoo containers


Metal:
All metal food and beverage containers including:
  • Aluminum tin, or steel cans
  • Aluminum foil and pie pans (clean)
  • Soda, pet food, soup, and tuna cans (lids okay)
  • Metal lids from glass bottles and jars
  • Metal pots and pans


Aseptic Containers:
Aseptic containers are sterile cardboard containers, which are used to preserve food. Examples of aseptic containers are fruit juice boxes or cardboard milk cartons.


Mixed Paper:
Put mixed paper in the toter labeled: Mixed / Office Paper.

Standard Paper:
  • White paper
  • Colored paper

  • Envelopes (including envelopes with windows)
Glossy Paper:
  • Magazines
  • Catalogs
  • Phone books
Chipboard/Paperboard:
  • Cardboard (cut to fit inside toter)
  • Cereal boxes (remove liners)
  • Cracker boxes (remove liners)
  • Gift boxes
  • Paper towel rolls
Miscellaneous Paper:
  • Junk mail
  • Adhesive notes
  • Paper egg cartons

Newspaper & Cardboard

  • Put newspaper and inserts in the toter labeled: Newspaper.
  • Place cardboard next to the recycling toters for collection.
  • Please remove all packing materials and flatten boxes; large amounts of cardboard should be flattened, bundled and tied - no larger than 3ft by 3ft.
