Acceptable Recycling Materials
Glass:
All glass food and beverage jars and bottles such as:
  • Fruit juice
  • Mayonnaise
  • Spaghetti sauce jars

  • Remove metal lids and place separately in bin.

Plastic:
Clear, opaque or colored containers including:
  • Milk and orange juice jugs
  • Water bottles
  • Detergent and shampoo containers

Metal:
All metal food and beverage containers including:
  • Aluminum tin, or steel containers
  • Soda, pet food, soup, and tuna cans (lids okay)

Aseptic Containers:
Aseptic containers are sterile cardboard containers, which are used to preserve food. Examples of aseptic containers are fruit juice boxes or cardboard milk cartons.

Mixed Paper:
  • White paper
  • Colored paper
  • Computer paper
  • Envelopes
  • Magazines
  • Catalogs
  • Phone books
  • Junk mail
  • Adhesive notes

Metal:
  • Wire rope

Mixed Paper:
  • Food contaminated paper products and packaging such as pizza boxes
  • Food bags

Newspapers and Corrugated Cardboard


Put newspapers (bundled, tied, or in paper bags) and corrugated cardboard (flattened and bundled) in separate piles next to your recycling bin. Newspaper must be kept separate from mixed paper!

  • Newspapers: Newspapers should be placed in paper bags or bundled and tied with string and placed next to your recycling bin.
  • Corrugated Cardboard: Please flatten and bundles with string in a separate pile, no larger than 3 feet by 3 feet
